Faithful Guardian – Thoroughbred Profile
FAITHFUL GUARDIAN (IRE)
2022 Ch G | AUSTRALIA x MISS ORLA (IRE) (Make Believe)
Faithful Guardian – A Thoroughbred With Size, Scope & Staying Potential
Faithful Guardian is an exciting National Hunt prospect with an elite blend of Flat class, stamina and physical presence — a horse bred to improve with maturity and thrive over obstacles.
By the exceptional Derby-winning stallion Australia, winner of both the Epsom Derby and Irish Derby, Faithful Guardian inherits a pedigree steeped in class and middle-distance stamina. Australia himself is out of the outstanding mare Ouija Board — one of the most accomplished racemares of the modern era, a multiple Group 1 winner whose influence continues to shine through her progeny.
On the dam side, Faithful Guardian is out of Miss Orla, herself sired by the prolific and highly regarded Make Believe, a stallion known for producing tough, athletic stock with an excellent turn of foot and genuine temperament.
Faithful Guardian has already shown encouraging signs on the racecourse. He ran a highly respectable race at Ludlow Racecourse before stepping up into stronger company at Cheltenham Racecourse in a Listed bumper — an indication of the regard in which he has been held from an early stage.
Running Profile
Faithful Guardian profiles as a galloping, stamina-influenced type rather than an out-and-out speed horse. His pedigree strongly suggests he is built to improve with age, experience and distance — the hallmark of many successful National Hunt performers.
He shapes like the sort who wants a strongly run race, settling into rhythm before staying on powerfully through the latter stages. Horses by Australia often possess a smooth travelling action and the ability to sustain an effort rather than produce an instant burst of speed, making them particularly effective over middle distances and staying trips.
As he strengthens physically and gains experience, Faithful Guardian looks the type who could develop into a genuine staying hurdler or chaser, especially on galloping tracks where stamina and rhythm come into play.
Physical Type
Physically, Faithful Guardian appears to be a scopey, athletic individual with plenty of substance — the sort of horse you would expect to furnish with time. He gives the impression of a horse with size, length and scope, carrying the frame that should lend itself naturally to jumping.
Rather than an early, sharp two-year-old type, he looks every inch a developing National Hunt prospect — a horse likely to strengthen into his frame, improve with racing and show his best form as a mature performer.
With a pedigree combining Classic Flat excellence, toughness and stamina, alongside early experience in competitive bumper company, Faithful Guardian represents a horse with genuine long-term upside and the profile of a staying performer to follow.

The Races:
-
Entry at the 5-day Stage: The process begins when the horse is entered into a race at the 5-day stage.
-
Email Notification: After the horse is entered, an email is sent to each applicant to inquire if they wish to attend the race. This email serves as an invitation to the members.
-
48-Hour Response Window: Members who receive the email have 48 hours to notify you of their intention to attend the race. This gives everyone a reasonable amount of time to respond.
-
Draw for Tickets: Once the 48-hour response window closes, we will conduct a draw to select the attendees. Approximately 20 tickets will be generated for each course, but the actual number may vary.
-
Notification of Selected Attendees: Members who are drawn to attend the race will be notified at the declaration stage, which occurs 48 hours before the actual race. This notification includes information about how to access their tickets and any other relevant details.
-
Request for Extra Tickets: In most cases we do ask courses to provide extra tickets where possible and try to obtain additional tickets from the racecourses to accommodate more attendees if needed. This may or may NOT be possible.
This process ensures that members have an opportunity to express their interest in attending the horse race, and a fair selection process is used to allocate the available tickets. The notification process helps members plan their attendance and make necessary arrangements.
