Fille Imbassee Runs a Cracker to Finish Second at Redcar

Another big run, another exciting day for our members and another performance to be proud of from Fille Imbassee.

Fille Imbassee gave the Always Trying Racing Syndicate members plenty to cheer about at Redcar, producing a gutsy front-running performance to finish an excellent second, beaten just half a length. Veiw the full result here:

And she certainly didn't go down without a fight.

Brave From the Front

With Tom Kiely-Marshall in the saddle, Fille Imbassee adopted the positive tactics that have served her so well.

She went forward and took up the running, travelling at the head of the field before the pressure began to build over two furlongs from home.

Fille Imbassee continued to battle as the challengers arrived and was still in front entering the closing stages.

Eventually Woodleigh managed to get past inside the final 110 yards, but she kept going all the way to the line to secure a very creditable second place.

The winning margin?

Just half a length.

So close – but another performance that gave us plenty to be proud of.

Another Consistent Performance

One of the most pleasing things about our Filly is the attitude she continues to show on the racecourse.

She isn't afraid to get into a battle and once again showed exactly that at Redcar.

From the moment the stalls opened she put herself into the race and made the others come and catch her.

Ultimately one did – but she left everything on the track.

That's all you can ask.

More Than Just the Result

Of course, we'd all have loved to have been standing in the winner's enclosure.

But racehorse ownership isn't only about winning.

It's about days like these.

Meeting fellow members at the racecourse. Seeing your horse in the paddock. Watching the Always Trying colours head out onto the track. Then experiencing those few minutes when everyone is shouting the same horse home.

For our members at Redcar, Fille gave us another fantastic afternoon and came agonisingly close to giving us another winner.

Half a length can feel like a very long way in racing!

What Next for Fille Imbassee?

First and foremost, we'll see how Fille comes out of the race.

Julie Camacho and the team will assess her over the coming days before we put her away for a few weeks for a very well earned break. Rest assured we won't be long before we are back on track with a winter campaign scheduled fothe AW tracks.

There is never any point running simply for the sake of running and she has run 7 times already for us so the time is right to give her a breather.

After another performance like this, though, we're certainly looking forward to seeing where she heads next around October.

This Is What Syndicate Ownership Is About

Always Trying Racing Syndicate was created to give racing fans the opportunity to experience real racehorse ownership at an affordable level.

There will be winners.

There will be near misses.

There will undoubtedly be disappointments along the way too.

But that's racing – and experiencing those moments together is what makes ownership so addictive.

Fille Imbassee has already given the syndicate some fantastic memories, and at Redcar she came within half a length of adding another victory to the list.

We're incredibly proud of her.

Well done Fille, Julie, Tom and everyone at the yard.

Onwards to the next one. 🏇🔴⚫
