Introducing Supremacy: A New Chapter for Always Trying
There is something special about following a horse you have a personal connection with. At Always Trying Racing Syndicate, we are extending that experience into the breeding world.
We are introducing Supremacy as the first Stallion in the Always Trying Breeding Syndicate, giving members the opportunity to follow his breeding career, the mares he covers and the progress of his offspring.
With a one-off payment of £1,000 for a 0.5% share, (Maximum 1% Per Individual) this offers a different way to become involved in the sport we enjoy together.
Meet Supremacy
Born in 2018, Supremacy is by Mehmas out of Triggers Broom. He demonstrated his ability as a two-year-old, winning the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood before taking the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket in 2020.
His racing achievements are part of his story. Now, members can follow the next chapter through his breeding career and the development of his offspring.
If you already enjoy following our horses in training, breeding offers another perspective on how the thoroughbred racing world works.
From the mares to the sales rings
For many racing fans, the story begins when a horse first appears on a racecard. Breeding lets you follow the journey much earlier.
There is the interest of discovering the mares visiting Supremacy, exploring their pedigrees and waiting to see the foals those pairings produce. Then come the milestones: their arrival, development and, where applicable, their appearances in the sales rings.
Further down the line, there may be the excitement of watching those youngsters begin their racing careers.
Our members already know how much a personal connection can add to racing. You can read about one of those moments in Fille Imbassee’s Leicester victory. Through breeding, we are opening up another part of that experience.
What does your £1,000 membership include?
Your one-off payment of £1,000 secures a 0.5% share for the entire time Supremacy stands at stud under our ownership arrangement, with no recurring membership payments.
Each share entitles you to 0.5% of net profits from coverings, based on covering fees received by March Hare Stud after applicable costs have been deducted.
Rewards may also arise through foal share agreements, where these are entered into. These arrangements can provide further opportunities to follow particular offspring, with any proceeds governed by the relevant agreement.
If Supremacy is sold, your share entitles you to a payment equivalent to 0.5% of his sale value.
Financial rewards will vary and are not guaranteed. Income depends on fees collected, applicable costs and the outcome of any foal share arrangements. Full details will be set out in your breeding syndicate membership contract.

What happens after your purchase?
A membership contract will be emailed or posted to you for signature. All solicitors’ fees associated with setting up your membership are paid by Always Trying Syndicate.
Once your membership is confirmed, your breeding syndicate certificate and welcome pack will be posted to you.
You will also receive an email explaining how covering fees and other income are collected, how costs are accounted for, and how financial breakdowns and distributions are presented to members.
If you would like to discuss anything before joining, please contact us. We are happy to talk you through the arrangement.
How the breeding year works
The covering season generally begins in mid-February and continues into the summer, with Supremacy’s exact schedule confirmed by March Hare Stud each year.
Mares are scanned after covering, with pregnancy status reviewed later in the year for the relevant covering-fee arrangements.
Our anticipated timetable is for covering fees to become due on 1 October. Once income has been received and applicable costs reconciled, members will receive a financial breakdown, with net profit distributions expected around 1 December.
These dates depend on the stud’s agreed terms, receipt of fees and completion of the accounts. Income from foal share agreements follows the timing of the relevant agreement or sale.
